A future-proof set-up in the cloud
The cloud as the answer to your requirements
- Is your goal to future-proof your company and drive digitalization forward?
- Do you need automated processes and a centralized database?
- Do you want to be able to scale enterprise systems, computing power, and storage as needed and only pay for what you use?
- When it comes to security, you don't want to cut any corners. Do you want to effectively shield your infrastructure from cyber risks and ensure that your data is protected at all times?
You are taking a decisive step in the right direction with a cloud solution. You’ll future-proof yourself, protect yourself from potential threats and attacks, increase employee effectiveness and the productivity of your company.
Your future starts today: Switch to a cloud solution now!
What does cloud computing actually mean?
In principle, ‘cloud computing’ just comprises a term, not a physical size. The cloud refers to a global network of servers that are all interconnected to allow access to data anytime, anywhere. The servers are designed for data storage and management. However, there are many other applications and services that can be run and deployed through the cloud. You can scale exactly what applications you need and only pay for the services you actually use. Since the files are no longer on a fixed server, they can be accessed from any internet-enabled device.
Access your data and applications anytime and everywhere!

Your path to digitalization
Create a solid foundation
Modern IT systems are a prerequisite for digitalization. This is the only way to digitalize and automate processes. The cloud is a key driver for this to succeed. In order to create a solid foundation for digitalization, six important factors need to be considered.
The cloud is available quickly and without much lead time. No long delivery times, no large rack servers in the basement or in a purpose-built server room with fire protection measures, air conditioning, and security access. Ordered today, usable tomorrow. The guaranteed availability of servers in the cloud today stands at 99.99%. No single server room can achieve that!
Unlike hardware in the server cabinet, the cloud can be scaled flexibly and at short notice. If you need more power, then the “power switch” can be turned up online and the desired power will immediately become available. This can also be done for temporary power spikes and peak or off-peak phases – for example, in the event of seasonal fluctuations or unpredictable environmental influences.
Hardware, on the other hand, must always be ordered in advance – too late for sudden load peaks – and usually cannot be returned if it is not needed during off-peak periods.
You’ll only know how much energy and effort companies and their IT managers have to put into IT security once you have been “hacked”. Not only are the latest hardware, firewall, and security patches necessary, but so are qualified employees who must always be up to date with the latest technology.
There are thousands of specialized staff who are only concerned with the topic of security in the cloud. The companies are “safe” and IT managers don’t have to spend hours and days repeatedly checking for security vulnerabilities and applied patches.
-
- IT specialists are expensive and rarely available. With the implementation of the cloud solution, the cloud service provider will take over a large part of the otherwise usual administration tasks. The customer will no longer need to worry about almost anything.
- Cloud-based digital and optimized business processes reduce manual effort and relieve the burden on employees. Growth strategies can also be implemented more easily.
The costs for the cloud are simple and transparent. “Pay as you go” is the motto. You only pay for what you actually use – and even that can be optimized by, for example, shutting down servers that are not used at night and thus saving costs.
Compared to on-premises operations, there are costs that are often not included in a total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. An analogy with an iceberg is helpful here. Beneath the surface of the water are costs that often add up to a significant amount. Many of these costs are known and transparent, but many are not. Keeping server hardware and software up to date is a basic requirement. Then there are back-up scenarios, support fees, air-conditioning, energy costs for servers and the server room, possible downtime, and the necessary IT staff with the appropriate professional qualifications. The total costs in such a TCO calculation are significantly more expensive compared to operation in the cloud.
With the use of the cloud, activities centered around your customers can become the focal point again. Your employees can concentrate on their core tasks and thus improve customer service, increase customer loyalty, and improve customer satisfaction in the long term. You can focus on the competencies that contribute significantly to business success. Thus, you increase business value and create more room for innovation.
Previously time-consuming updates will no longer play a role, because you’ll always be automatically kept up to date through using a SaaS cloud. Hence, you’ll be able to lift a significant burden from your employees and create free space for your core business.
Highest safety standards
Microsoft cares about the security of your systems and provides numerous policies and comprehensive protections that enhance the security of the cloud environment. They play an important role in protecting your data, apps, and infrastructure from potential threats. As a customer, you can use the secure and up-to-date services of the Azure Cloud at all times. In addition, Microsoft is always working to make the cloud more and more secure and has already invested a total of over 1 billion US dollars in the cloud environment.
Data protection in the Azure Cloud
Another important role in terms of cloud usage is data security from a compliance perspective. Microsoft Azure meets all important data protection standards and data security requirements. Your data will be encrypted and securely stored at all times. Only selected people in your organization will have access and control. For even more data protection, Microsoft provides tools that detect whether all guidelines and regulations are adhered to. Visit the Microsoft Trust Center for more information about security and privacy.
Azure in Germany
In addition to the numerous data centers around the world, there are also two Azure data centers in Germany. This gives you the option to operate and manage your data exclusively in German data centers. Azure Germany meets the requirements of relevant data protection certificates, including ISO/IEC 27018 for the protection of personal data in the cloud and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
